About Me
It all begins with childhood memories. Both of my grandmas were coffee drinkers. I remember enjoying the smell when they would make a cup. Wishing I could have one too.
Fast forward to adulthood. I surprisingly didn’t start drinking coffee until I was well into my twenties. I’m embarrassed to say it, but instant coffee.
I eventually moved up to a drip coffee maker, but still not the best coffee.
I was introduced to small-batch coffees when I moved to Boulder. I would treat myself to a bag every once in a while. One day a client at told me how he roasted coffee beans in his oven. I was intrigued, but it wasn’t until years later that I tried it myself.
In 2020 I decided to try roasting my own coffee beans. It was eye opening! My morning coffee tasted so much better. I’ve never thought about stopping.
I love trying new beans from all over the world. And, experimenting with different techniques and profiles. It never gets boring.
I’ve started this website for a few reasons. One of which, I want to share this cool, fun way to enjoy your coffee. It will change your day. Enjoy!

About Roast Your Beans
As I was starting out as a home coffee bean roaster, I couldn’t find a dedicated site for it. There were plenty of sites for roasting in general, but they were geared more towards bigger roasters. And, the sites that sell green beans and roasting equipment had basic articles. But, I had to search all over for these and piece it all together.
I have enjoyed this journey a lot. And, I enjoy writing. So, began the idea for this site. I want to put all of the information for home coffee roasting in one place. From green coffee beans and the regions they’re grown in, to how-to, to supplies, etc.
I’m starting off with articles, but plan to add videos in the future. I love researching green beans and the places they’re grown. So, I’m creating a section specific to these places. I have a lot more planned for this site in the future. I wish I could put it all on here now!
